Dear Keptika Community,
Despite I strongly believe that AI can evaluate the effectiveness of human conversations and can improve the delivery of talking treatments, it is my decision to close down Keptika.
In this note, I want to share the reasons behind this decision.
Not enough funding. As a startup, getting enough funding is crucial. Keptika faced challenges in getting enough funds in the current market situation. We tried our best to get investors interested, but it was difficult. We faced many challenges convincing investors to believe in our product, and we were unable to get enough funding to keep growing and developing our product. This made it hard to keep up with the competition, and ultimately led to our decision to close down Keptika.
Challenges with target market. We thought our product could change the way psychotherapy and coaching are done, but it was difficult to get people to use it. Many people thought it was a nice-to-have rather than a must-have solution. Although we tried to understand our target market and get feedback, we struggled to address their pain points effectively. This made it hard to gain traction and achieve widespread adoption, ultimately resulting in our decision to close down Keptika.
Team dynamics and resource constraints. Managing a startup is not easy. As a small team, we had to do many jobs and responsibilities, which made it difficult to manage our workload. We faced many challenges meeting deadlines and addressing unforeseen challenges, which put a lot of pressure on our team. Despite our best efforts to maintain a positive and collaborative environment, we faced internal challenges that impacted our ability to execute our vision effectively. This made it difficult to keep up with our goals and objectives, ultimately leading to our decision to close down Keptika.
Keeping up with evolving technology. Technology is always changing, and it can be hard for startups to keep up. During our journey, we saw many changes in AI and related technologies that changed the market conditions and trends. These changes made it hard for Keptika to stay ahead of the game and adapt our product to meet new market needs. Keeping up with the new technology was hard, and it made it hard to stay competitive. This made it difficult to keep up with our goals and objectives, ultimately leading to our decision to close down Keptika.
Although Keptika's journey has come to an end, I am grateful to my co-founder, early customers, and the entire Keptika community for their unwavering support and belief in our vision. I am proud of what we were able to accomplish, and I will cherish the lessons learned and memories made during this entrepreneurial adventure.
Thank you for being a part of the Keptika journey.
Sincerely,
Dario
